IRON MAN 3 will need a new director

If you haven't heard Jon Favreau won't be back as the Iron Man 3 director. Marvel has plans for Iron Man 3 to be a sequel to The Avengers which comes out sometime in 2012. When Iron Man 2 was in production there were rumblings that Jon wasn't satisfied with the script and how Marvel was approaching the film. He felt like they had too much input on how the film went. So who should become the next Iron Man director???

The Thor trailer is out
That is right an official Thor trailer was released last week. It seems to be some of the footage that was shown at SDCC this past summer mixed with a few new scenes. Thor is one of 2 big Marvel movies to come out next year. The other one is Captain America: The First Avenger.

Shutter Island finally arrives and Kevin Smith fights Southwest

Shutter Island was suppose to come out last fall. But it is time for some thrills from Martin Scorsese. This weekend is the release of Shutter Island. He casted his good friend Leonard Dicaprio for the films lead. Shutter Island was originally a book which was released in 2003 by author Dennis Lahane. He has seen his other work Mystic River which was adapted into another great film. So with Martin Scorsese adapting this book, we can only imagine what he has in store for us. Will these 2 have the success of their last film The Departed? We shall see....

Shutter Island takes place in 1954, two U.S. marshals investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital for the criminally insane on an island in Massachusetts. They run into trouble when they are deceived by the hospital's chief administrator, a hurricane hits, and all hell breaks loose.

Kevin Smith VS. Southwest Airlines

So if you haven't heard this week. Famed director Kevin Smith of such films like Clerks
, Chasing Amy and Cop Out. Was kicked off a Southwest flight this past week. For being TOO FAT! But Smith has been letting everyone know he is NOT TOO FAT. Southwest has apologized to Smith but he has put a challenge up to Southwest.

I guess Kevin Smiths twitter challenge is off now: "Hey @SouthwestAir: you bring that same row of seats to the DailyShow, and I'll sit in 'em for all to see on TV," he tweeted. "If I don't fit, I'll donate $10k to charity of your choice. But when I do (& buckle the belt as well)? 1) You admit you lied. 2) Change your policy, or at least re-train your staff to be a lot more human & a lot less corporate when they pull a poor girl off the plane & shame her."

He stated on his website that he is over the whole Southwestgate! Check it out here to hear him try and bring an end to this: http://silentbobspeaks.com/?p=393

Zombies invade the movie theater!!

Do you hear that moaning as you leave the bar at 2 a.m.? It could be all the zombie fans lurking the streets this weekend. The one answer is Zombieland infects movie theaters around the states this Friday 10/3/09. This movie looks like tons of fun with Woody Harrelson going toe to toe with all sort of zombies. And from all early viewings of the film, it will be a smashing good time! It looks like a mix of Shaun of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead . So I am sure we can except the dead walking, running and coming to eat any human, with a shot of comedy thrown in! So who's down for killing some zombies?? I know I will check it out and be back with my brain filled review!

a Nightmare on Elm St. trailer is released!

So the first Nightmare on Elm St. trailer is all over the internet these days. For once I can say I am excited for a "reboot" of an older horror film. This film has Jackie Earle Haley starring as the menacing Freddy Krueger. And from the looks of it I think he will do a fine job as Freddy. Enough with all this talking about it. Here is the first trailer for Nightmare on Elm St. See you on Elm St!
